If history were to repeat itself, Auburn would go 7-5 this season (giving Auburn the win against Kent Stat even though they’ve never played). Ironically, that is a common prediction for Auburn this year, just about as common as 8-4. However, Auburn is not likely to lose to Tulane who they trail historically.
Ultimately, this doesn’t mean much of anything for what will actually happen in 2019. But sometimes it’s a good idea to brush up on some history.
Auburn will begin writing the history of its season on August 31st against Oregon in Arlington, Texas.
