Auburn in the NFL: Week Five

Auburn had 19 players record a snap in Week 5 of the NFL season.

Arizona Cardinals

  • Josh Bynes, LB: Bynes finished the day with 11 tackles with one for a loss. On a second down blitz, Bynes pressured the quarterback and scooped up a fumble and ran it in for touchdown.

  • Rudy Ford, DB: Ford recorded one tackle and played 22 special teams snaps.

Atlanta Falcons

  • Josh Harris, LS: Harris took care of his usual duties and recorded seven snaps on Sunday.

Carolina Panthers

  • Cameron Artis-Payne, RB: Inactive

  • Cam Newton, QB: Newton hit 60 percent of his passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. He churned out 29 yards on eight carries.

Chicago Bears (BYE)

  • Cody Parkey, K

Cincinnati Bengals

  • Carl Lawson, DE: Lawson finished with one tackle on 31 defensive snaps.

  • CJ Uzomah, TE: Uzomah’s offensive role increased seeing 91 percent of the offensive snaps versus Miami. Uzomah reeled in two catches for 43 yards.

Cleveland Browns

  • Devaroe Lawrence, DT: Lawrence was active but did not play.

  • Greg Robinson, OT: Robinson recorded four special teams snaps versus Baltimore.

Detroit Lions

  • Kerryon Johnson, RB: Johnson toted the ball 12 times for 70 yards. He caught two passes for 15 yards. He averages 5.6 yards per touch on the year.

Green Bay Packers

  • Montravius Adams, DT: Adams was in on six special teams snaps.

  • Jermaine Whitehead, S: Inactive

Houston Texans

  • Angelo Blackson, DE: Blackson recorded two tackles on 29 defensive snaps.

  • Sammie Coates, WR: Coates was listed as active but was not on the field on any offensive play.

  • Braden Smith, OT: Smith started his first game of the season at right tackle Thursday night versus New England. He graded out with a 79.0 on Pro Football Focus.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Corey Grant, RB: Grant has been placed on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury. He had one carry for eight yards on Sunday afternoon.

Kansas City Chiefs

  • Dee Ford, LB: Ford showcased his best game of the season against Jacksonville. The fifth-year player recorded five total tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.

Los Angeles Rams

  • Blake Countess, DB: Countess recorded 24 special teams snaps versus Seattle. He fielded four kicks for 98 yards (24.5 average).

New England Patriots

  • Jonathan Jones, CB: Jones recorded five tackles on Thursday night with an interception returned for 28 yards.

  • Brandon King, LB: King contributed on 19 special teams plays for New England.

San Francisco 49ers

  • Shon Coleman, OT: Inactive

Seattle Seahawks

  • Neiko Thorpe, CB: Thorpe continues to be a reliable special teams piece as he recorded 25 plays on Sunday. He recorded his first defensive snap as well.

  • Daren Bates, LB: Bates recorded 19 special teams snaps in Sunday’s game versus Buffalo.
