Stidham named Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week

Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham has continued to improve week-by-week, and has caught the attention of many award committees, including one based in his home state.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, an award given to a Division 1 College Football Player born in Texas and/or graduated from High School in Texas, has named Stidham "National Player of the Week" after a great showing in a 49-10 win over then #24 Mississippi State last Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The Stephenville, Texas native completed 13 of 16 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns. The most impressive stat, was that Stidham completed four passes for longer than 47 yards, including a 47-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Will Hastings.
Players that were named honorable mention for this week's award include Ben Hicks (QB, SMU), Lexington Thomas (HB, UNLV), and Jefferey Wilson (RB, North Texas).
