#14 Auburn Baseball (32-17) looks to rebound following a disappointing weekend at home against Alabama, where the Crimson Tide swept the Tigers in the three-game series. Auburn will try to regroup on Tuesday when they head to Birmingham’s Regions Field to battle the UAB Blazers (22-26) on the final mid-week game of the season Tuesday. This will be the second time that Auburn and UAB have played each other in 2017, Auburn grabbed a 4-0 win over the Blazers on March 14. In the game, Bowen McGuffin and Luke Jarvis had two hits, with Blake Logan picking up two RBI. Despite Andrew Mitchell getting the win, reliever Gabe Klobosits allowed six hits and struck out three in six innings of shutout baseball. Since the game, Auburn is 19-12. UAB is 11-20. The Blazers enter the game falling in two games out of three to Old Dominion at home over the weekend. In game two of Saturday’s doubleheader, Brett Blackwood led the way with three hits, Colton Schultz had two RBI in UAB’s 8-4 win. Brewer Hicklen leads many major categories for the Blazers, including average (.329), home runs (7), and RBI (26). Tuesday’s game will feature a different pitching battle than last time out. Christian Camacho will throw for Auburn after having two weeks off. The freshman is 2-2 with a 5.46 ERA. UAB will call on Ryan Ruggles, a lefty with a 6.92 ERA and a 2-4 record.
