The quarterback situation for Auburn Football continues to work itself out. Monday morning, redshirt freshman Woody Barrett announced his intentions of leaving the program via twitter:
Barrett’s departure will mark the third time since the Sugar Bowl that an Auburn quarterback has taken their name out of the quarterback depth chart. Tyler Queen announced that his transfer to the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia last month, and John Franklin III moved to wide receiver during spring practice.
With this move, Auburn has three quarterbacks on the depth chart. Freshman Malik Willis impressed many at spring practice, and newcomer Jarrett Stidham is the favorite to win the starting job. Sean White is still in the mix but has not practiced an extensive amount due to a lingering arm injury. Barrett has not announced his transfer destination at the time of this post.
