With a 17 win season and a first-ever appearance in the Elite 8, Auburn Soccer had a season to remember. On Monday, it was announced that Auburn Soccer has broken yet another record. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the NCAA RPI announced their final poll of the season, and Auburn finished ranked number 8 in the nation according to the NSCAA and #9 in the RPI. The finish is a school-record best. According to the RPI, Auburn faced the toughest schedule in Coach Karen Hoppa’s tenure. The Tigers played 21 teams ranked in the top-100, which was tied third with North Carolina. Only USC and West Virginia played more (22). Auburn led the SEC in top-100 opponents, with Florida and South Carolina behind the Tigers.
