Auburn Soccer defeated South Alabama in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, 4-0, last Saturday, and a key senior was recognized for her efforts during the game. Brooke Ramsier notched five points in the opening round win. She took four shots, three of which were on goal, and netted two goals in the second half. That performance earned her a spot on the national team of the week from topdrawersoccer.com. Ramsier’s honor is the first time that an Auburn player has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com’s National Team of the Week since Katy Frierson was named to the team in 2011. This is the fourth time in program history that a Tiger has been awarded a spot on the National Team of the Week. Auburn Soccer battles UConn in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 2 P.M. The game will be played in Gainesville, Florida at the University of Florida.
