Softball to Close Out Fall Games on Saturday

Auburn Softball’s fall schedule comes to a close this weekend, with a pair of games on Saturday against Columbus State and Northwest Florida State.
Auburn softball has had a solid fall practice thus far. Last week, Haley Fagan and Tannon Snow combined to hit three home runs and drive in 5 RBI in their two wins over Wallace State-Hanceville. The young Tigers played a key role in last Friday’s success, by tallying 13 of Auburn’s 21 hits, and also accounted for 13 runs.
Pitching wise, Kaylee Carlson and Jenna Abbott combined to throw seven innings in game one, Carlson struck out 8 in her start. In game two, Makayla Martin struck out two in four hitless innings. Newcomers Alexa Nemeth and Ashlee Swindle combined to strike out six.
Auburn will face Northwest Florida State on Saturday at 2:30, with their final game coming at 5 P.M. against Columbus State. Fans can get one last look at the next edition of Auburn softball on Thursday from 3-6 P.M., and Friday from 4-7 P.M.
