Auburn Soccer will close out the regular season on Thursday, with a home match against Tennessee at 7 P.M. inside the Auburn Soccer Complex. Not only will the regular season come to a close on Thursday night, six seniors will also be honored, as part of Senior night ceremonies. The unit of Brooke Ramsier, Casie Ramsier, Haley Gerken, Samantha Solaru, Kiana Clark, and Alyse Scott have combined to earn 48 wins in their Auburn career. The senior class set a program record by earning 16 wins in 2015, and now hold the record for consecutive wins with seven, which was accomplished this season. The seniors will be honored prior to kickoff this evening. Tennessee is currently tied sixth in the SEC standings with rival Vanderbilt, with 16 total points, and a 5-4 SEC record, 10-7-1 overall. The Vols are 3-1-1 in their last five games. Tennessee fell to SEC regular season champion South Carolina last Sunday at home, 2-0. Forward Hannah Wilkinson is the player to watch for Tennessee. The Graduate Student has taken 48 shots, with 21 being on goal. Wilkinson also has 9 assists to go along with her 9 goals and has a point total of 27. Sophomore Rylie O’Keefe is also a player to keep an eye on, as she has three game-winning goals this season. Many feats have been accomplished this season by the Tigers. Auburn has wrapped up the 2nd-seed in the SEC tournament that begins next week in Orange Beach, and a win tonight would give Auburn their second-highest point total in school history with 27. The Tigers have also won 10 of its last 12, Auburn’s loss to Texas A&M on Sunday snapped an eight-game winning streak. After tonight, Auburn will focus on the SEC tournament that kicks off next week. Auburn will play the winner of the 7/10 seed game on Wednesday at noon in Orange Beach.
