The Southeastern Conference announced their selections for conference players of the week on Monday, and two Auburn Tigers made the cut. Alex Kozan and Montravius Adams were selected as “linemen of the week” for their respective sides of the ball for their efforts in the Tigers 56-3 win over Arkansas on Saturday night.

Kozan and the offensive line kept the defensive pressure off of the backfield, as Auburn posted a conference record 543 yards of rushing. According to the SEC, Kozan had ten impact blocks that resulted in a first down, or touchdown, and had three knockdown blocks. Adams recorded five tackles in the win, two were for loss, and he shared a sack with Carl Lawson. The Tigers defense allowed Arkansas to only gain 25 yards of rushing, and held the SEC’s leading rusher, Rawleigh Williams, to 22 yards rushing. In all, Arkansas gained only 215 yards of total offense. This week was the first time all season that two Auburn players were named “Player of the Week.” Daniel Carlson has been named Player of the Week twice this season, following his efforts against Arkansas State and LSU. Carl Lawson was named Defensive Line Player of the Week after his performance against Mississippi State.
