Auburn Soccer Rides Momentum into Match with Missouri

Auburn Soccer returns home this Friday to face a tough Missouri team at the Auburn Soccer Complex.

Auburn is coming off of a fantastic two-game road trip, in which they earned two conference wins over Florida, and Georgia. Kristen Dodson had a weekend to remember, by scoring 4 goals, and assisting with two more. That performance earned her player of the week honors by the SEC, NCAA, and topdrawersoccer.com.

Both teams enter the match at 3-1 in conference play. Missouri has wins over Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Mississippi State, with their best win being a 5-0 decision over Ole Miss. Sarah Luebbert is the player to watch for Mizzou. The freshman forward has six goals on the season, in nine games. Luebbert leads the team in total points as well (15), with junior forward Allie Hess next in line with 11.

For Auburn, Dodson’s amazing weekend against Florida and Georgia has shot her to the top of the Auburn stat list. The Junior enters the weekend with 19 total points, with 7 goals and 5 assists. Casie Ramsier and Courtney Schell are having great seasons, with 8 points a piece.

Auburn battles Missouri on Friday at 7 P.M. at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
