Auburn Softball released the schedule for the 2017 season on Monday, which features a tough non-conference schedule in addition to a solid conference slate.

Auburn will go “south of the border” to open the season, as they compete in the Triple Crown Tournament in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. To open the season, Auburn will face PAC-12 power, Washington on February 9th at 1PM. Later that day, Auburn will get a rematch with Oklahoma at 7PM. Auburn will also face Nebraska (Feb 10), and BYU (Feb 11) during the tournament.

The first home matchup will be on February 16th against SIU-Edwardsville, which will be a lead into the first home tournament of the season. Auburn will then host Creighton, Evansville, SIU-Edwardsville, and Mercer for the Plainsman Invitational beginning February 17th, and lasting through the 19th.

Auburn will host another tournament, the Tiger Invitational, the following weekend (February 24-26). This tournament will feature North Dakota, UMass-Lowell, Yale, and James Madison, which is a team that handed Auburn their first loss of the season in 2016.

Auburn will host their final tournament of the season March 3-5, the Wilson/DeMarini Classic. Liberty, Savannah State, Texas State, and College of Charleston will visit Jane B. Moore Field for this weekend tournament. Auburn will then host Alabama State on March 8, before opening conference play with LSU March 10-12, to round out their home stretch.

Auburn will hit the road for the second time beginning on March 14, when they play a nonconference game against Tennessee in Columbia, Tenn. The next day, Auburn will travel to Murfreesboro to face Middle Tennessee State. The Tigers then head to Tampa to compete in the USF tournament, hosted by the University of South Florida. Auburn will face the likes of Army, USF, Illinois, North Dakota State, and Ohio State during the weekend of March 17-19.

Conference play picks back up on March 24 with a tough, two-weekend road trip. Auburn will play three at Florida (March 24-26). The next weekend, Auburn travels to Athens to face the Bulldogs (March 31-April 2). Auburn will play a mid-week game at Samford on April 5, to end their 14-game road trip.

To round out the season, Auburn will host Ole Miss, Missouri, and Mississippi State in conference play, while hitting the road to face South Carolina and Alabama.

Auburn will also host Georgia State on April 12, and will travel to Montgomery to face Alabama State, in a return trip, on April 26.
