The Southeastern Conference announced the conference slate for all 14 women’s basketball teams today, and Auburn looks to capitalize on a successful 2015-16 season.
Auburn will open conference play on the road at Florida on New Year’s Day. Auburn went 1-1 against the Gators last season, including an 80-53 blowout win at Auburn Arena.
South Carolina is next on the schedule, with a 1 P.M. tip-off on January 5th at Auburn Arena. South Carolina will join Alabama (January 29 & February 20) and Ole Miss (January 8th & February 16) as home-and-home opponents for Auburn this season. The return trip to Columbia is scheduled for February 9th.
Auburn’s remaining home games will be against Tennessee (Jan 19), Kentucky (Jan 22), Mississippi State (Feb 2), Georgia (Feb 12), and LSU (Feb 23), and will hit the road to face Vanderbilt (Jan 12), Missouri (Jan 26), Texas A&M (Feb 5), and Arkansas (Feb 26).
Auburn announced their non-conference slate a few months ago, and will open the season on November 11th against in-state foe, Troy, at Auburn Arena.
