Thompson Adds Video Coordinator to Staff

Auburn Baseball Coach Butch Thompson has announced the addition of video coordinator, Blake Beck, to his staff.

Beck’s duties will be to coordinate video analysis, including player development and scouting. Beck had the same responsibilities while at Mississippi State from 2014-15, while Thompson was an assistant under coach John Cohen. Beck comes to Auburn from Troy, where he served as a volunteer assistant coach for the baseball team.

“Blake understands the SEC and what my expectations will be. I also know because of his baseball background” says Thompson of Beck, “he will be a big asset to us as we scout opponents and his video work will help us continue to develop our student-athletes. We are thrilled to add him to our staff.”

Beck earned his bachelor's degree from Troy in 2014, and his masters from Mississippi State in 2016. Beck also played baseball at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa from 2010-2011.
