Auburn Soccer Hosts Auburn Soccer Classic This Weekend

Auburn Soccer resumes play this evening, hoping to extend their winning streak at home during the Auburn Soccer Classic.
Auburn enters the weekend with a 3-1 record after scoring six goals a weekend ago to defeat Cal State Fullerton, and Samford. The 4-3 decision against Samford on Sunday extended Auburn’s record to 89-1 in games that see Auburn score more than three goals in a game, under Coach Karen Hoppa. Kristen Dodson and Casie Ramsier had stellar weekends for Auburn, recording two goals a piece.
The Auburn Soccer Classic will feature Iowa State, Southern California, and Georgia. The Tigers begin action tonight at 7PM against Iowa State. The key Cyclone to watch, is Koree Willer. Willer has six goals on the season, on an Iowa State team that averages two goals per game.
On Sunday, the classic wraps up with Auburn taking on the USC Trojans for a 6PM kickoff. USC will face Georgia and Auburn while on the Plains. The game today against Georgia will be the first team that USC has faced all season, not from California. The Trojans enter the weekend at 1-2 on the season, their last game would see them shutout the 20th-ranked Waves from Pepperdine, 3-0. All of USC’s scoring would be done in the first half. Morgan Andrews, Sydney Sladek, and Taylor McMorrow. The Trojans leading scorer is Alex Anthony, with two.
Auburn hosts the Auburn Soccer Classic this weekend. Action begins today at 4:30PM with Georgia facing USC. Auburn battles Iowa State at 7:00PM.
