Kickoff is only three days away. Let that sink in.

Fans will be flocking to campus this weekend to experience the first game day of the new season, and a rather important one at that. If you are one of those fans making the trip to Jordan-Hare this weekend, here are some tips and other information that you will need before entering the gates on Saturday evening.

NEW BAG POLICY

Auburn University has announced a new bag policy for this season at athletic events. Clear bags, and bags that are the size of your hand (clutch purse, small purse) will be permitted, while bags such as: backpacks, binocular cases, camera cases, diaper bags, fanny packs, mesh bags, oversized totes, purses, or tinted bags, will not be permitted inside the stadium.

The maximum size of a clear bag can be up to 12 inches in height, and 6 inches in width. 1-gallon plastic ziplock bags are permitted as well. Auburn University adopted this policy to better serve fans from a security standpoint.

PREGAME ATMOSPHERE

The new Auburn Sports Network stage will be setting up shop in a new location this season. The new location will be on the eastern side of Jordan-Hare, across from the Heisman Trophy winner statues. The Verizon Autograph Tent will be set up alongside the parking deck between Jordan-Hare Stadium, and Plainsman Park.

The Coca-Cola Fan Fest area will also feature more interactive and family-friendly elements this season.

CONCESSION ITEMS

Jordan-Hare Stadium has revamped their selection at concession stands throughout the stadium. An Alabama favorite, Dreamland BBQ, will now be served at every concession stand this season. Reduced priced menu items can also be found, including: BBQ sandwiches, Ultimate Nachos, Bodacious Burgers, Sliders, Cajun Turkey sandwiches, Aubie Dogs and Shrimp Po Boys.

Fans will also be allowed one free refill with the purchase of a souvenir cup. Game time temperature is expected to be in the 70s, so this will come in handy.

INSIDE THE STADIUM

Jordan-Hare Stadium has added more cell phone charging stations, so that fans can stay connected longer. Each fan will also receive a free shaker for the Clemson game.

The school of nursing will also provide two private locations to tend to babies and young children during the game. “Tiger Baby Tents for Moms” are located at Gate 1 inside the stadium.

Auburn kicks off the 2016 season against Clemson inside Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday at 8PM. Gates open at 6PM.
