Player Of The Week: February 17
Judd Ward is SportsCall’s Player of the Week. Ward opened the season with a bang, as in the second game against Illinois-Chicago, he hit for the cycle, the first cycle by an Auburn player since Clete Thomas in 2005. To go along with that impressive feat, Ward had two more doubles in the series, and scored six total runs in Auburn’s four game sweep over Illinois-Chicago. Predictions for Auburn's Big Three Sports in the 2020's
With the beginning of a new decade, it’s time to look back on all of the big events from the past decade, and try to predict what the new decade will look like. I could have written this and posted it within the first couple days of 2020, but that’s the status quo, and the only thing status quo with Auburn is the predictability that its sport teams will do something unpredictable, whether it be exhilarating, or heart breaking. Player Of The Week: June 3
Steven Williams is SportsCall’s Player of the Week. Williams left the Atlanta regional with most outstanding player, and with great reason. In Auburn’s 16-7 win over Coastal Carolina, Williams had four hits, including a homer, and drove in five runs. In this second matchup with Georgia Tech, Williams came up clutch with an oppos

Will Holland is our SportsCall Player Of The Week. Holland came out of his season-long slump in a big way over the weekend against arch-rival Alabama. Holland totaled six hits in 12 at-bats in the series, all six hits coming in the final two games. Holland’s contributions went well beyond just hits, as he notched two RBIs and scored two runs in Saturday’s heartbreaking loss against the Tide. He followed that up with three more RBIs and three more runs scored in Auburn’s 17-7

Player Of The Week: March 4
Auburn pitcher Tanner Burns is our SportsCall Player Of The Week. Burns was brilliant on Friday night versus Cincinnati in his third start of the season and the first complete game of his college career. The right-handed sophomore surrendered just two hits in the shutout. He matched the Auburn single-game record with 15 strikeouts and joined the likes of Casey Mize (2018), Chris Bootcheck (1999), Tim Hudson (1997), John Powell (1994), and Mark Chapman (1986) in the 15-strikeo
